Claire Cho challenges the assumption that young people are simply the future of medicine. She argues that youth are already contributing meaningfully to healthcare. She emphasizes that qualities essential to healthcare—adaptability, empathy, curiosity, and composure—do not depend on age, and that youth can rise to high-stakes demands if they are supported rather than dismissed. Claire is clear: experience will always matter in medicine. Youth doesn’t replace experience; youth expands what experience can be. Claire Cho is a sixteen-year-old junior at Whippany Park High School, a junior training EMT, and an aspiring physician with a driven passion for oncology. Core strengths include strong leadership, communication, and adaptability. Through programs such as Novartis Women in Science & Business and current enrollment in Atlantic Health's rigorous EMT training course, she has gained first hand exposure to clinical practice, collaboration, and professional innovation. These experiences have deepened her unrelenting commitment to advancing healthcare and oncologic research. Driven by compassion and a strong desire to empower the upcoming generation of providers, she hopes to inspire fresh perspectives and innovative solutions in medicine.
