,,Wyjdź z Domu" Foundation cordially invite you to watch our film from the series “Passionate about life.” “Passionate about life” is a moving film story about extraordinary seniors from the Gorlice district who prove that age is no barrier to dreams, curiosity about the world, and creative energy. With passion, consistency, and joy, they pursue their interests, inspiring others to live actively. In the first episode, we meet Mr. Wiesław Czerwień. Mr. Wiesław Czerwień is a blacksmith and woodcarver from Korczyna, for whom craftsmanship has become not only a profession, but a life mission — he has fulfilled his dream of having his own traditional forge, carefully recreating every element of the workshop to touch the spirit of the past and show how our ancestors worked. From an early age, he was fascinated by history and craftsmanship, and today his smithy is bustling with life during demonstrations and meetings with enthusiasts of ancient metalworking techniques. Mr. Wiesław is also the initiator and founder of the Polish Cavalry Historical Association operating under the colors of the 5th Mounted Rifle Regiment in Biecz, as well as a lieutenant in the volunteer cavalry, whose activities give history a real, living dimension. With remarkable consistency, he combines craftsmanship, reconstruction, and a passion for researching the past, showing that tradition is an experience that can be seen, touched, and understood. His commitment stems from a deep respect for history and a responsibility to pass it on, bearing witness to work done from the heart and the need to preserve national heritage for future generations. The film is part of a film campaign about active seniors from the Gorlice County as part of the project “Get Out of the House – Activity and Solidarity of Seniors in the Gorlice County” implemented by the “Get Out of the House” Foundation. The project is co-financed by the government's multi-year program for the elderly, “Aktywni+” (Active+), for the years 2021–2025. 2025 edition.
