ALBA 4S / ELLIOTT 18s SHAPER MACHINE NOW WITH CLUTCH FITTED

Hi all, just a quick update on the shaper/shaping machine, been busy fitting a new clutch to the shaper, Managed to find an Elliott 14s shaper that had the clutch already fitted, All the clutches on the alba or Elliott are the same size regardless of model Purchased another shaper to remove the clutch off it only Will now re-sell the 14s as a standard model as for fitting the new clutch to my machine, it was quite a simple job, all I needed to do was re-drill some of the holes on top of the gearbox lugs to fit the long bar, then drill and tap 2 new holes in the castings, and also had to use the other motor pulley guard to fit onto mine, so just a case of swopping one for the other Biggest job was to re-mount the 3hp motor into the new position But had to mill out 2 new slots in the motor mount approx. 2 inches from the old position, Quite an easy job to do, and took all day stripping the both shapers down for the parts now making the alba 4s shaper a real joy to use Thanks for looking Regards all from Keith in Swindon u.k
