She played (Meredith) Rodney McKay's sister from Earth, herself a brilliant scientific mind who had chosen another path in life. But Jeannie was to be played, in fact, by actor David Hewlett's real-life sister. In this conversation with "Dial the Gate," Kate tells the story of how her casting came to be.
