HoloLens Handcontroller

"Handcontroller for Microsoft HoloLens" is my Master's thesis. It allows you to use your Google Tango enabled phone as a handcontroller for the HoloLens. To achieve that, I came up with a novel tracking system based on SLAM devices. Each device itself is tracking its pose within the room. As with SLAM devices, each is also creating a local 3D room map. In a startup phase the local maps of the HoloLens and handcontroller are aligned using the PCL. The resulting alignment is then used to transform the handcontroller pose from its local reference frame to the HoloLens reference frame. In the beginning the room is scanned with the phone and the alignment process can be seen in the left bottom corner. However as both devices start in the same position, barely any alignment is required.
