A long time ago at a shop in Chehalis Washington, Klein bicycles were hand built with pride in the USA. This 1996 Pulse II that I originally purchased new, has been heavily upgraded over the years. Frame weight is about 2.8lbs and the 26" wheel geometry allows for low and fast classic high speed cross country riding that is simply not obtainable on 29" hoops. It climbs like a goat on steroids and carves like a knife. In this most recent incarnation, it has been retrofitted with a carbon fork and 2013 SRAM XX1 group set. A rare 118 g titanium Titec handlebar adorns the controls and the Easton EC90 seat post suspends the engine with a classic Selle Italia Flight titanium seat. Lightweight V brake system by Paul. The press fit bottom bracket by Philwood is the magic that makes the XX1 rebuild possible and Two Wheel Tango bicycle shop in Ann Arbor Michigan is the genius behind the find. Total bicycle weight almost less than 20lbs.
