BRR Layout Tour: Rich Lewis' Nickel Plate Layout

Welcome to another Layout Tour! Bill Schopf and I had the pleasure of visiting Rich Lewis's Nickel Plate themed layout. For those that think having a layout in a small apartment is not going to work you need to see Rich's layout. He lives in a retirement apartment with a small kitchen, a living area and one bedroom. With permission from the landlord he has filled the space with trains! Rich is a diehard Nickel Plate fan which will become very evident once you see his layout. He has an impressive collection of NKP motive power, rolling stock and structures. Wait until you see his completely scratch-built model of the NKP station in Girard, PA. WOW. Follow along as Rich gives us a tour of his layout and entertains us with NKP stories and details on how the layout had to incorporate many "special considerations" to make it work in his apartment. As usual, my video equipment could be better- I did the best I could given the light levels and other environmental conditions(very bright light from the windows!). Rich talks softly, and I did not have a lapel microphone for him so you may need to adjust the volume to better hear him. Bill and I wish to thank Rich for his gracious hospitality. He is an extremely skilled model railroader and who has accomplished many impressive things in a rather small space. Thank you Rich!
