Nirvana, In their 2 week break from touring were set to make their first ever appearance on the David Letterman Late Show, on January 13th, 2005. They play this Live to promote their newly released Real Eyes music video from the day prior, January 12th, 2005. Show runners and editors suggested that the band edit the arrangement of the song to only play half of it so they could cut to ads early, making the song only 2:30. But when it came to where it was suppose to end, they kept playing the instrumental bridge very slowly until the audience cheered them on to speed up and continue.
