We are excited to share the success story of our patient, Mr. Manas Panda, who came to SUM Ultimate Medicare with primary obstructive megaureter, a rare disease in adults. Primary obstructive megaureter (POM) is an uncommon disease in adults, it is defined as an intrinsic congenital abnormality at the lower segment of the ureter in the ureterovesical junction. Under the expert care of Dr. Priyabrata Das, Senior Consultant of Urology and Renal Transplant, Manas underwent laparoscopic reimplantation with intra-corporeal tapering of the ureter procedure.
