The idea of one pot pasta started out of necessity. I was in an Airbnb with my bf and I only found in the kitchen one pot. So I put all the ingredients in it including pasta, added water and cooked for about 15 mins. It came out surprisingly very good. And now I experimented with my rice cooker, with even better results. The starch released by the pasta that it’s not thrown away like in the normal recipe, makes the pasta so creamy and flavourful, like a risotto. This recipe is perfect for travelers, for people who are in a rush and for people who care about healthy food because here we don’t fry or sauté the oil but we add it raw at the last minute. INGREDIENTS 200 g of spaghetti 4 large fresh tomatoes Half large onion, minced 4 cloves of garlic Basil 1/4 cup grated parmigiano 125 ml water 1 TBS extra virgin olive oil Salt Pepper Ps. How long it takes to cook depends on how much stuff you put into a pot in this case we put 4 large tomatoes which requires more time ( 20 mins )to cook.
