Low Maintenance Chicken Coop! This is what works for us! What works for you may be different.

This is our low-maintenance chicken coop and how we have low-maintenance chickens! I don't have the time to clean the coop every day or want to, nor take the time to fill their water or feed daily. Our chickens are healthy, happy, and have the things they need, shelter, water, and food. Our flock lives a natural lifestyle. They free range through the day, then retreat to their safe coop in the evening. We've had hens and roosters on and off for over 10 years. Chickens are a GREAT pest control source as well as small weed and grass killer. I have lots of intro tips for eggs and chicks as well. For the most part, we've bought chicks in the spring and then raised them. Occasionally, we've bought grown hens. We have even culled from our own flock. We've never had a case of disease. Only death from predators. This is the 1st year we have donkeys free ranging with them.
