Axis Zhik Ppc Sup Foiling Beginner Advanced Ocean Bay Run Paddling Wingfoil Deflate Start Surfing Bumps Now! • Downwind Tutorial Volume 2.1 | Fiji Island... Are you ready to start talking boards?! • Board Talk | Axis North horizon KT dragonf... ------------------------------------------------------ Sunday 26th 2024 What a day! We can catch a glimpse of the differences between the 1401 artpro and the 1300 png. Im pumping more than usual here at the start to match pace with Mike for filming im not able to follow the good bumps. Mikes on the 1300 and I can see the slow stall speed that I remember. It’s still an excellent foil for learning to dw and still holds up well even for those with more experience. It does have some bad habits, mainly it doesn’t like to breach (but what foil dose) which can hold you back from riding it high, also from memory it’s a bit slow to accelerate which stops you making some bumps. It also has a high drag the constantly needs to be worked through. The 1401 by comparison needs to be ridden a touch faster but in doing so you are rewarded with a slippery foil that likes to glide. If ridden well you can use it in the lightest of conditions and once up, it can glide you to your destination. That’s the biggest difference in my opinion I’d say… the 1300 once up requires a certain amount of energy to keep it going and if the bumps arnt there you have to supply it, it’s a taxing pump that is constantly needed to thug it. The 1401 on the other hand rewards a good pump with efficiency and you can pump it home with far less effort especially if you can tap into the odd swell. Anyway… enjoy 🤙🤙 Rider weight/height 77kg 188cm/6’2 Ppc carbon adjustable medium paddle North horizon 7’10 Axis 1401 artpro 45*skinny Axis advanced+ sillyshort Axis 75cm high mod mast -------------------------- This is my favorite video so far!
