This video was produced by students from IUT Angers-Cholet as part of their coursework in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing. As part of a university project, a team of students tackled a real-world problem: with heavy traffic, riding a bike can be risky, especially when drivers fail to notice a cyclist slowing down. They aimed to design a reactive brake light, an interactive rear light that automatically illuminates when the rider slows down, enhancing visibility and safety. Over the course of 80 hours, they worked to find the best technical solution, design and test a prototype, and develop a reliable and affordable product. This project allowed the team to strengthen their skills in electronics design, embedded systems, and real-world testing, all while working within real constraints.
