Kodaikanal Lake, also known as Kodai Lake, is a manmade lake located in the Kodaikanal city in Dindigul district in Tamil Nadu, India. Sir Vere Henry Levinge, the then Collector of Madurai, was instrumental in creating the lake in 1863. Bryant Park Located on the eastern side of Kodaikanal Lake, and it is a botanical estate covering an area of almost 20 acres. This lovely park consist of more than 325 species of trees, cacti, and shrubs.Named after the forest officer of Madurai, Mr. H.D. Bryant and existing since 1908. Coaker's Walk, a beautiful man-made one km long walking plaza built on the mountains in the city of Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu. The lovely path of Coakers Walk that curves by the edge of the gorgeous mountain have been constructed mainly for visitors to get a glimpse of Paradise on Earth.
