Because syngeneic mice models contain a fully functional immune system, they are strategic to evaluate the effect of anti-cancer compounds in stimulating immune cells to mount an anti-tumor response. They provide a rapid and effective way of conducting an initial proof-of-concept evaluation of your immunotherapeutics before bridging towards the use of the more complex reconstituted human immune system mouse models available at Oncodesign. Oncodesign possesses one of the richest collections of validated subcutaneous, orthotopic and metastatic syngeneic tumor models available on the market today. The vast majority of them have been characterized for response to chemotherapeutics, radiotherapy and immunotherapeutics (including the more recent novel anti-PD-1 and anti-CTLA4 antibodies), as well as for pharmacodynamic readouts using imaging, FACS, Luminex, Elispot, immunohistochemistry, and histology.
