A Fordson Major Diesel Industrial type tractor having a "Skyhi" loader with a heavy, hydraulically-tipped/crowded earth bucket and with a military style rear hitch. The tractor; which is fitted with 13 x 24 and 7.50 x 16 tyres, is apparently based upon a New Fordson Major Mark 1 but with the brakes being concentric to the rear wheels. The bulkhead plate bears the engine number 1272201 indicating a likely production date of November 1953 but the engine is actually numbered S 114428 E indicating that it is likely to be a service exchange unit. The tractor; which has a purposeful appearance, started, ran and drove satisfactorily at the time of cataloguing. Unfortunately no registration documents are to hand.
