Join us as to see the magnificent views of the Columbia River from the comfort of our private first-class Roomette. We see lots of activity on the river, including jet skiers, riverboats, ducks, many types of birds, and beavers, mountains and Mount Hood in the distance. All Aboard for epic views and relaxation. Andre'. 0:08:57 Crossing the first big river. 0:10:00 We pick up speed as we head towards the Columbia River. 0:11:07 First river crossing. 0:11:49 Crossing the Columbia River. 0:13:00 Vancouver, Washington. Watch for aircraft taking off across the river. 0:17:45 A bird soars near the train with epic view of the water and growing mountains. 0:18:21 Jet skiers, followed by the first of many tunnels. 0:24:44 Big dam & hydro-electric power generating station. 0:27:28 Epic views as we cruise along the Columbia River. 0:27:40 Sunshine streams thru the clouds, reflected in the river, between the mountains of the Columbia River Valley, and a riverboat. 0:28:46 Epic views, and the mountain grow much higher. 0:29:33 Epic views and lots of wildlife. 0:39:42 We follow a highway for a short while, beside the river. 0:41:04 We pass Spring Creek State Park & Hatchery. 0:43:00 Mount Hood is visible to the South. Jet skiers, boating, fishing, and more. 0:40:10 Lots of activity on the water- many humans playing and having fun. 0:46:30 Some beautiful riverside farms. 0:49:00 Epic views as the sun begins to set, followed by tunnels. 0:51:53 Watch closely to see a person land in the water. 0:59:00 Unique, perhaps exciting perspective as our train travels under a bridge. 1:02:35 We pass a big paddle-wheeler on the Columbia River at track speed, with awesome view of Mount Hood as the sunset deepens. 1:04:30 We get a call, and make arrangements to meet Robert & Wendy during the next stop at Wishram.
