Hiya! Silvia here. In today's tutorial I take you on a journey with me into hacking the original TATB sewing pattern to make real straps that you can actual tie/untie. It's been a game changer for me this summer as I could dress up a bit and still breastfeed my baby when I needed to! The pattern I used is the Skye Dress by Tilly and the Buttons, which you can find here: https://shop.tillyandthebuttons.com/c... The main fabric is a super soft viscose crepe from Lamazi Fabrics, the blue version seems to be sold out so here is the green alternative: https://lamazifabrics.com/collections... The lining fabric instead is another viscose from a local shop called Masons, in Abingdon, UK https://www.masonsfabric.com Here are also all the steps I'm going through in this tutorial in case you want to see only specific bits! 00:00 Intro 00:24 Pattern description (a lengthy one this time!!) 04:11 Pattern pieces 04:41 Stay-stitching 05:12 Pleats 05:52 Tie straps 06:28 Lining the bodice 08:11 Assembly of the bodice 09:01 Pocket bags 09:48 Skirt 10:43 Gathering 13:08 Adding the waist elastic 14:58 Hem A few other things you might be interested in: Janome Sewing Machine similar to the one I use https://amzn.to/3JAu6Ep Janome 6234XL Overlocker https://amzn.to/3BvoJDH Frixion Erasable Markers https://amzn.to/3BxKcfs If you have any questions please let me know and I’ll be happy to help!
