THE ORANGE TERRACE | Asian Paints Design Competition

KEC Student Center Design This project began with a simple question: what do students really need? From that question grew “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲” a space of openness, connection, and green relief. The design addresses key issues students face every day: the lack of green spaces, communal work areas, and meaningful places to interact. At its core is a central atrium, a shared forum where movement, visual connection, and campus life come together. Slanted green roofs extend this idea upward, forming wellness terraces for outdoor study, relaxation, and moments of calm between classes. The Orange Terrace is envisioned as a welcoming, calming, and connected environment — a vibrant architectural identity the college has long needed.
