We have been to many world wonders including Leaning tower of Pisa, Egyptian Pyramids, Empire State Building or other New York attractions, Italy Colloseum, Mexico Chitzen Itza, Peru Machu Picchu. So, visiting Taj Mahal at home in India has been long due. We took a flight from Chennai to Delhi and covered Red Fort, Qutub Minar, India Gate on the day 1. We stayed in Bloomrooms@Janpath hotel. Lunch at Haldirams and it was too spicy. Night take away from Saravana Bhavan and that was heavenly. Next day we had a closer look at India Gate and then head directly towards Mathura. Our time Govardhan was fulfilling but too much crowd, noise disappointed. People who take every step, then lie flat in ground to pray and then continue that circling the mountain is something too devotional and tough for us to see. Visiting Mathura temple include Krishna's birth place in a Jail brought us closer to Krishna. Being from Tamilnadu, we are always close to only Murugan - who also has kid version as Balamurugan similar to Balakrishna. Have peacock feathers in head, loved by everyone. Jai Shri Krishna. Someone promised to take to the temple faster and avoid mutiple hours of queue. Actually it was evening and there was not much crowd - so we were cheated a good amount of money. People do spit at many places and that is a sad thing. We then went to Agra and stayed in Star Hotel Grand Mercury. There was some mess-up in the reservation with my bank rejecting the payment for hotel but we sort that out. Hotel was super nice, live music, enormous quantity of complimentary breakfast, super christmas decorations. Taj Mahal was amazing and we completed it to our satisfaction. Then morning we had a very nice breakfast and headed towards Fatehpur Sikri. It is all nice - a beautiful place was built and everyone abandoned the place. We then headed to our entry into a new Indian State Rajasthan. Against the view it is a desert place, so much greenery is present while we entered. Roads were nice against Agra or some part of Delhi, but traffic is crazy. We went to Amber Palace - so many people tried to cheat. We did not take tour and climbed the fort ourselves. It is an easy climb. We hired a guide and that person did his best to our liking. We went to a crowded cafe to have a close view of Hawa Mahal. Food quality was good. Hotel had nice evening entertainment with traditional Rajasthani song and dance. We seen the step well and then that is what we had time on the last day. Lot of shopping in a crowded street again - clothes mainly. Finally we reached Chennai - no crowd, no push for money, calm everywhere, everyone just do their work - providing pre-paid taxi bill, loading golf cart trip to taxi location, loading into taxi, dropping at house.
