Max Payne Speedrun - Single-segment, DoA difficulty - [

Max Payne Speedrun completed in a Single-segment (all in one go, no saves used) on Dead on Arrival difficulty (hardest) in 56:41 according to SDA timing. This beats my old 1:01:08 record and I completed the run on 7th March 2012. The run is on SDA: http://speeddemosarchive.com/demo.pl?... This is definitely the hardest run I've done; it's taken over a year and has gone from trying to break the 1 hour mark, to sub 58 and then finally sub 57. I only get 1 chance to do the p1c8 super jump through the trap door at about 20 minutes in and the success rate is less than 30%. In the end it was a case of careful practise, so that when I did get the jump I had a reasonable chance of making it all the way. As usual I completed the secret bonus level at the end as well, though you will notice I haven't played it in a long time, about 6 months!
