Psalm 145 expresses profound thanksgiving for the care God takes for all of his creatures. תְּהִלָּה לְדָוִד אֲרוֹמִמְךָ אֱלוֹהַי הַמֶּלֶךְ וַאֲבָרֲכָה שִׁמְךָ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד בְּכָל־יוֹם אֲבָרֲכֶךָּ וַאֲהַלְלָה שִׁמְךָ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד גָּדוֹל יהוה וּמְהֻלָּל מְאֹד וְלִגְדֻלָּתוֹ אֵין חֵקֶר דּוֹר לְדוֹר יְשַׁבַּח מַעֲשֶׂיךָ וּגְבוּרֹתֶיךָ יַגִּידוּ הֲדַר כְּבוֹד הוֹדֶךָ וְדִבְרֵי נִפְלְאוֹתֶיךָ אָשִׂיחָה וֶעֱזוּז נוֹרְאֹתֶיךָ יֹאמֵרוּ וּגְדוּלֹּתֶיךָ אֲסַפְּרֶנָּה זֵכֶר רַב־טוּבְךָ יַבִּיעוּ וְצִדְקָתְךָ יְרַנֵּנוּ חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם יהוה אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם וּגְדָל־חָסֶד טוֹב־יהוה לַכֹּל וְרַחֲמָיו עַל־כָּל־מַעֲשָׂיו יוֹדוּךָ יהוה כָּל־מַעֲשֶׂיךָ וַחֲסִידֶיךָ יְבָרֲכוּכָה כְּבוֹד מַלְכוּתְךָ יֹאמֵרוּ וּגְבוּרָתְךָ יְדַבֵּרוּ לְהוֹדִיעַ לִבְנֵי הָאָדָם גְּבוּרֹתָיו וּכְבוֹד הֲדַר מַלְכוּתוֹ מַלְכוּתְךָ מַלְכוּת כָּל־עֹלָמִים וּמֶמְשֶׁלְתְּךָ בְּכָל־דּוֹר וָדוֹר סוֹמֵךְ יהוה לְכָל־הַנֹּפְלִים וְזוֹקֵף לְכָל־הַכְּפוּפִים עֵינֵי־כֹל אֵלֶיךָ יְשַׂבֵּרוּ וְאַתָּה נוֹתֵן־לָהֶם אֶת־אָכְלָם בְּעִתּוֹ פּוֹתֵחַ אֶת־יָדֶךָ וּמַשְׂבִּיעַ לְכָל־חַי רָצוֹן צַדִּיק יהוה בְּכָל־דְּרָכָיו וְחָסִיד בְּכָל־מַעֲשָׂיו קָרוֹב יהוה לְכָל־קֹרְאָיו לְכֹל אֲשֶׁר יִקְרָאֻהוּ בֶאֱמֶת רְצוֹן־יְרֵאָיו יַעֲשֶׂה וְאֶת־שַׁוְעָתָם יִשְׁמַע וְיוֹשִׁיעֵם שׁוֹמֵר יהוה אֶת־כָּל־אֹהֲבָיו וְאֵת כָּל־הָרְשָׁעִים יַשְׁמִיד תְּהִלַּת יהוה יְדַבֶּר־פִּי וִיבָרֵךְ כָּל־בָּשָׂר שֵׁם קָדְשׁוֹ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד 1 A Psalm of David. I will lift you up, my God, O King, and I will bless your name forever. 2 All day long, I will bless you; I will praise your name for eternity. 3 Great is ADONAI (LORD), exceedingly praised, and his greatness cannot be measured. 4 From generation to generation, people will praise your works and will recount your mighty acts. 5 On the glorious beauty of your splendor and on your wonderful works I will meditate. 6 People will speak of your astounding acts, and I will testify of your greatness. 7 They will announce the memory of your rich goodness and speak joyfully of your justice. 8 Gracious and merciful is ADONAI (LORD), patient and abundant in lovingkindness. 9 ADONAI (LORD) is good to all, merciful towards all his creations. 10 All your works will give thanks to you, ADONAI (LORD), and your faithful ones will bless you. 11 They will mention the glory of your kingdom and will speak of your might 12 To declare to mankind your mighty deeds and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. 13 For your kingdom is everlasting, and your dominion spans through all generations. 14 For ADONAI (LORD) holds up all who fall and straightens all who are bent. 15 With anticipation all eyes look to you, and you give them food each time. 16 You open your hand and nourish the desire of every living thing. 17 ADONAI (LORD) is fair in all his paths and faithful in all his deeds. 18 Near is ADONAI (LORD) to all who draw near to him, to all who sincerely call out to him. 19 The yearning of those who fear him he will satisfy, he will hear their cry and rescue them. 20 ADONAI (LORD) safeguards all who love him, but the wicked he will destroy. 21 My lips will utter ADONAI's (LORD's) praise, and all flesh will bless his holy name forever.
