It was announced just before I walked this walk that the BT Tower had been sold to a hotel chain. I assume this will mean greater access in future but this February 2024 stroll through Fitzrovia marks its last period as a government building. This is the 50th published out of 408 such walks between every station on the London Underground, raising money for Prostate UK, a cancer charity. At 16:45 is the entrance to the deep level Goodge Street underground shelter. A new bunker was constructed below the station and completed in 1942 for use by the Allied forces, with this separate entrance in Chenies Street.
