In this video, we’ll walk through how to operate the new UAS V3 Pump Stand touch screen control center, set up seed treatment values, and calibrate both pumps for treatment and inoculant. The V3 interface is clean, intuitive, and designed to simplify every step — from input to application. Getting Started on the Touch Screen To begin, tap Start on the main home screen. This takes you to the primary display. On the left, you’ll see four navigation buttons: • Calculator • Calibration • Reset • Alarm To the right, you’ll see two pump zones — Pump Stand 1 on top and Pump Stand 2 below. Let’s label them for clarity. Simply tap the name, enter TREATMENT for Pump 1 and INOCULANT for Pump 2. You can name them whatever fits your setup best. Inputting Seed and Treatment Information Before calibrating, we’ll enter the treatment parameters. Tap the Calculator button. You’ll need: • Seed size (seeds per lb) • Net weight of the box • Run time in seconds • Use rate in oz/cwt You'll find seed size and net weight on the seed tag. For this example: • Seed size = 2750 seeds/lb • Net weight = 1800 lbs To get your time, run a naked box of seed to determine how long it takes. Most fall between 130–155 seconds, depending on seed size and atomizer chamber collar position. Enter your run time, then enter your use rate. Our example use rate for treatment is 4.0 oz/cwt. Tap Calculate. You’ll now see total ounces needed, ounces per minute, and your adjusted use rate. Press Pump 1 to send these numbers to the treatment pump. Now repeat for pump 2 — same inputs, but with your inoculant rate. Inoculant commonly uses around 2.0 oz/cwt. Send values to Pump 2. Now, you’re ready to calibrate. Why Calibration Matters: Calibration ensures your pump is delivering the correct volume. Every treatment behaves slightly differently — thickness, temperature, hose length — so calibration confirms accuracy before treating seed. For demonstration, we’ll use water. You should use your actual product when calibrating. Pump Calibration Step-By-Step Pre-Calibration Setup Before starting: Make sure pump heads are closed and locked on your peristaltic pumps. Ensure the valve to the filter is open, sending product thru the hosing and toward the 3-way outlet valve. Turn the 3-way valve arrow toward the calibration spout. This will direct flow into your empty jug. Priming the Pump Tap Calibration, then select Pump 1. Hold Prime Pump to move product through the filter and hose until it reaches the spout. If the tubing or filter housing is empty, continue priming until product reaches the end. Priming ensures there’s no air in the line, giving you an accurate measurement. Release Prime once liquid reaches the spout. Running a Calibration Catch Press Next. Enter your target calibration volume — 32 ounces is standard. You’ll also see a calibration flow rate. The default is 20 oz/min, but you can adjust if needed. Press Start. The pump will automatically run to reach that target. Watch the progress bar as it calibrates. When the pump stops, measure what you collected. Let’s say we caught 33 oz. Enter that number, then tap Next. You’ll now see your new calibration factor. Originally ours was 1.0 — now it adjusts to 1.3. Tap Accept. Pump 1 is now calibrated. Repeat these same steps for Pump 2 (Inoculant). Be sure to rinse your jug first. Ready to Treat Seed To start treating seed: Turn the 3-way valve so it no longer points to calibration — it should point toward your treater line. Ensure the valve to the atomizer is open. Press and hold Prime one last time to bring product up to the atomizer. Once product is at the atomizer — you’re ready to run seed. Accurate inputs, proper calibration, and you’ll get consistent, repeatable application every time. For additional support or questions, reach out to Unified Ag Solutions anytime.
