In this interview, Arshan sat down for a conversation with one of our generation’s most respected underground rap veterans Bktherula at LoudMouth Brooklyn ahead of the release of her forthcoming album ‘Lucy’. Since the initial explosion of her singles “LEFT RIGHT” & “Tweakin’ Together” back in 2019, Bk has occupied a constant presence in the scene thanks to her evolving sound that has matured from popular singles to more cohesive projects like ‘LOVE BLACK’ & ‘LVL5 P2’. Following the viral drop of the album’s lead single “Adult Swim” Bk is setting the groundwork for her next release, which she claims will be her most world-building project yet. In their conversation Arshan & Bktherula talk about everything from her favorite Call of Duty maps, to her relationship with spirituality, to having a full unreleased album with Lil Uzi Vert still on the shelf.
