Edward Taylor plays J. S. Bach: In dulci jubilo (Fantasia) BWV 729

This piece is a firm favourite in the repertoire of many organists the world over, it regularly being heard at Carol Services during the festive period. Bach alternates a choral-like statement of the tune with fast moving semiquaver passages before linking the two together, developing the fantasia style common in compositions of the period. Although often heard after a Carol Service, this piece has always been the opener of my pre-nine lessons and carols recitals on the 23rd and 24th December each year.
