Hindustani Yodha (Rajanna) is a 2011 Indian Telugu-language period action film written and directed by V. Vijayendra Prasad. The film is produced by Nagarjuna, and starred him, Sneha, Shwetha Menon and child artist Baby Annie. The film is partially inspired by Razakar movement, and freedom fighter Suddala Hanmanthu. Plot: Set in 1950s Telangana under Nizam's rule, Rajanna follows Mallamma, a gifted young girl living in the village of Nelakondapalli with her grandfather Sambayya. Unknown to her, she is the daughter of Rajanna, a revolutionary who fought British and feudal oppression and was buried secretly under a holy basil plant after his death. When Mallamma’s singing talent threatens the oppressive landlord Dorasani, she punishes her brutally. After Mallamma learns of her true heritage, Dorasani’s men finishes Sambayya and imprison Mallamma. She escapes and travels all the way to Delhi, determined to seek help from Prime Minister Nehru to free her village from tyranny. Despite many hardships and being abducted again, Mallamma eventually reaches Nehru and sings in a competition on his birthday. Moved by her courage and patriotism, Nehru takes action against Dorasani, freeing the village. The film ends with a statue of Rajanna being honored by Mallamma.
