Throwing Accuracy Drill Purpose To get players loose and warm while working on improving throwing accuracy Drill Setup Place a series of targets in front of a fence or backstop and place a bucket of balls 15-30 feet in front of each target Players split up and form lines at each target How it Works One at a time, players will get 2-3 throws to attempt to hit the target, before leaving that line and moving on to the next target Everytime a player hits the target, they receive a point Once all players have thrown at all targets, the drill is over, and the player with the highest point total is the winner of the drill Coaching Tips As players progress and get better at the drill you can increase the difficulty by moving players further away, or by adding new even more difficult targets that have a corresponding point reward increase! The target can be anything from a tee in front of the backstop, to a water bottle on top of a garbage can, to at picture taped to a wall - feel free to get creative! http://www.baseball-tutorials.com...
