The Hoosier Gym In 2018 Filming Location for HOOSIERS (1986) Knightstown, Indiana. I revisit the Iconic basketball gymnasium that served as Hickory High's home court in the sports movie classic HOOSIERS (1986). The gym sits a few blocks off The Old National Road (US40) in Knightstown, Indiana. The gym is FREE to all to stop by and is a recreational and community center. The basketballs are sitting court side and are awaiting for you to just pick one up. If you are ever in east central Indiana area, traveling on 1-70, it is just a 15 minute ride out of your way. I grew up in the area and used to play ball here in my youth. It was so awesome stepping back into the gym again. The magic of the movie and the spirit of Indiana basketball can be found there.
