In this video, you’ll walk with us through Nieuwe Heide, a serene nature area near Son en Breugel in the southern Netherlands. Covering over 270 hectares, it features a mix of pine and deciduous forests, heath patches, and small ponds, creating a varied, peaceful landscape. Originally planted to stabilize the soil, today it’s a quiet haven for hikers and wildlife alike. You’ll follow snow-covered trails, see frost on the heather, and watch winter light on the calm terrain. Temperatures were around -3 °C, making it crisp, quiet, and truly ice-cold.
