Con questo video vi portiamo dentro la splendida basilica della Santissima Annunziata, il più importante santuario mariano della città e da sempre luogo amatissimo dai fiorentini, soprattutto per la presenza del dipinto cosiddetto della "Vergine miracolosa", risalente al 1252 e che si trova sotto uno splendido tempietto in marmo costruito nel 1447 da Michelozzo. La prima pietra della chiesa, voluta da sette giovani giovani nobili fiorentini, chiamati poi Sette Santi fondatori (dell'Ordine dei Servi di Maria), fu posta il 25 marzo 1250. Nel 1400 la chiesa su ampliata e nel 1500 venne aggiunto il loggiato. Nel "chiostro dei voti" (1447) sono presenti affreschi di Andrea del Sarto, Rosso Fiorentino, Baldovinetti, Pontormo e Fraciabigio (suo è l'affresco dello "sposalizio della Vergine" nel quale la Madonna appare senza volto). L'interno della basilica, in stile barocco, contiene numerose opere di artisti famosi come Andrea del Castagno, il Perugino, l'Empoli, l'Allori e tanti altri.
