Now it’s usually cooked at home for those wanting to reminisce and make the nostalgic treat for their family or you’ll find it in some bakeries or markets, depending on where you are. Using only simple ingredients, this cheap dessert is like a cake, biscuit and brownie all rolled into one. Often cut into squares, it’s great in winter when it’s served warm with custard slathered over the top. 🥒 Ingredients: 1 ¾ cups plain flour / all purpose flour / 200 g / 7 oz ¾ cup caster sugar / superfine sugar or granulated white sugar / 130 g / 5 oz 4 tbsp cocoa 100% Dutch unsweetened / 30 g / 1 oz 100 g butter / 3.5 oz Optional – For the Pink Custard 600 ml strawberry milk 20 fl oz 75 g instant custard powder 2.6 oz 6 drops red food dye 👩🍳 Recipe Steps: 00:00 - How to Make Chocolate Concrete 00:04 - Mix the dry ingredients together 00:14 - Add melted butter, mix until crumbly 00:42 - Press out firmly into cake pan 00:57 - Baste with water, sprinkle with sugar 01:04 - Oven cooking time 01:40 - Ninja Foodi cooking time 01:56 - Prepare pink custard 🥣 Our Most Used + Favourite Kitchen Tools & Ingredients Note: Links below are affiliate links. • Rice Cooker - https://amzn.to/3DXQ1pg • Non-Stick Frying Pan - https://amzn.to/3UmIzt5 • Cast-Iron Skillet - https://amzn.to/3fw7I5K • Ninja Foodi Air Fryer - https://amzn.to/3DBmv7p • Nutribullet Immersion Blender - https://amzn.to/3zJgGDG • KitchenAid Mini Mixer - https://amzn.to/3Un8Jf9 • Le Creuset Casserole Dish - https://amzn.to/3Dz7ove • Portable Induction Cooker - https://amzn.to/3sZsbmM • Glass Mixing Bowls - https://amzn.to/3T6yteG • Silicone Spoonula - https://amzn.to/3UmqSdd • Springform Baking Pan - https://amzn.to/3sW9kZw 🍽️ Follow us for more amazing recipes! 🥢 Subscribe to our channel - / @wandercooks Wandercooks website - https://www.wandercooks.com/ Sign up for the weekly newsletter - https://wandercooks.ck.page/newsletter Facebook - / wandercooks Instagram - / wandercooks Pinterest - / wandercooks
