13th of July, 2024. One of the best days of my life. A super fun vlog about an amazing Mamma Mia tour we've done this summer from Skiathos, Greece to Skopelos island and Lalaria beach. I hope you don't mind me singing ABBA for 15 minutes out of 21. :))) Welcome (back) to my channel! If you're a fan of the movie Mamma Mia and dream of dancing to ABBA songs on a beautiful boat while sailing towards famous tourist attractions related to this masterpiece, then this travel vlog is perfect for you. We recently embarked on an unforgettable Mamma Mia tour in Skiathos, Greece, and we're thrilled to share every travel tip with you in order to have an amazing Greek holiday. 🎥✨ Our adventure began on a sunny morning in July 2024, from the Skiathos Harbor at 9:45. The excitement was palpable as we boarded the Poseidon boat, ready to explore the stunning filming locations of the iconic movie Mamma Mia. For just EUR 40 per person, this boat tour promised a day full of breathtaking scenery, nostalgic songs, and unforgettable experiences. 💶🏝️ The Poseidon crew welcomed us on the ship and we explore the boat together, by presenting you your options. As we set sail, the iconic ABBA hits from Mamma Mia started playing, setting the perfect mood for our adventure. There were also other classics like "Dancing Queen" and "Slipping through my fingers". The atmosphere was electric, and we knew we were in for a fantastic day. 🎶⛵ First Stop: The Church of Agios Ioannis Kastri Our first destination was the Church of Agios Ioannis Kastri on Skopelos island, famously known as the wedding location from Mamma Mia. Perched atop a rocky hill with 198 steps leading up to it, the church offers panoramic views of the azure sea and lush greenery surrounding it. The climb was a bit challenging, but the reward was more than worth it. This place might be the best tourist attraction in Skopelos, especially for Mamma Mia fans! Standing at the top, we could almost hear the wedding bells and see Sophie running up the steps. The view from the church is absolutely breathtaking, providing a perfect backdrop for photos. We spent some time soaking in the scenery, taking pictures, and enjoying the serene atmosphere. 📸🌊 Next stop: Exploring Skopelos Island Next, we headed to Skopelos Island, where much of the movie was filmed. Skopelos is a gem of the Sporades Islands, known for its charming white-washed houses, cobblestone streets, and vibrant bougainvillaea. We wandered through the narrow alleys, stopping at quaint shops and local tavernas. We explored Skopelos, by visiting its narrow streets and climbing up to the view of the Venetian Castle. One of the highlights was visiting the site where Donna sings "The Winner Takes It All." The dramatic cliffs and sweeping sea views made us feel like we were part of the movie. We also wanted to explore Kastani Beach, another famous filming location, where we enjoyed a leisurely swim in the crystal-clear waters and relaxed on the sandy shores, but we had to stop for lunch. 🏖️🏝️ Lunch on Skopelos The food on Skopelos was absolutely amazing, we had the chance to eat an amazing gyros and to indulge into the Skopelitiki Tiropita at a beautiful restaurant in the harbour. Final stop: Leisure on Lalaria Beach Our final stop was the stunning Lalaria Beach. Known for its unique white pebbles and striking rock formations, Lalaria Beach is accessible only by boat, adding to its allure. We anchored here for a swim in the crystal clear water. 🍽️🐟 The beach's natural beauty is truly mesmerizing, and we took countless photos to capture the moment. It was my favorite moment of the entire trip, as we swam together for more than an hour, enjoying the end of this great tour. Back to Skiathos As we sailed back to Skiathos, I share with you the final conclusions, after a day full of stairs, steep hills, turquoise waters and magnificent, serene waters. This Mamma Mia tour was everything we had hoped for and more. From the awe-inspiring locations to the lively music and the wonderful company, every moment was filled with joy and nostalgia. We felt like we had stepped into the movie and experienced the magic of Mamma Mia firsthand. If you ever find yourself in Skiathos, Greece, we highly recommend taking this Mamma Mia Tour with Poseidon. It's a fantastic way to relive the movie, explore stunning locations, and create unforgettable memories. Our Greek getaway would not have been complete without this trip.
