2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E Extended Range AWD Review: Close, But No Cigar What we have here, is an all-new, purpose built electric SUV that has a look as if a coupe, SUV and muscle car made sweet, sweet love as well as offering a range up to 379 miles. It all sounds pretty good doesn't but, Ford did what some would have thought was unthinkable - they gave it the Mustang name. All of a sudden, you have a car that has been judged even before the wheels have turned, but what happens when you look past the badge? Well for starters, this is an electric SUV that offers flexibility and choice. It can either be had with standard range, or extended range, which respective ranges of 273 and 379 miles. There is also the choice of either rear wheel drive or all wheel drive. AWD versions do cause the range to come a little bit, but not to the point where you can argue they are compromised. The model shown in this video is the ER AWD, which has a starting price of £58,230. That may seem like a lot for a Ford, but there is ALOT of kit as standard. Here's an idea what you can expect as standard: 19” alloys, LED lights, leather seats, heated front seats which are also 8 way electronically adjustable, heated steering wheel, 10.2” digital instrument cluster, 15.5” touchscreen, navigation, smartphone connectivity wireless phone charging pad, keyless entry, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, adaptive cruise control, dual zone climate control, as well as safety kit such as blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert. That's not all, there's more; red brake callipers, adaptive LED lights, black powerfold door mirrors, 360 degree camera, hands free power tailgate, panoramic roof, B&O sound system including dashboard sound bar, and park assist. In regard to power, this version offers up 351hp along with 580Nm, meaning 62mph is dealt with in a very respectable 5.8 seconds, and the top speed is 111mph.
