Hey everyone, I have a new layout and video today for Lottie Loves Paper and I am using the absolutely stunning Cocoa Vanilla Studio Daydream collection that is new in to Lottie Loves Paper. I know absolutely loads of people pre-ordered this collection so I hope I am able to provide you with some inspiration. The moment I saw the 'Sweet Serenity' paper I know I just had to use it as a background paper. It is so soft and pretty. Scrapbooking directly onto a patterned background is however quite tricky for me as I like a bit of white space, but I was determined to persevere and use it as an entire background. I spent some time working out which way around the paper should go and then I didn't like my rectangular photo, so I cut my photo into a circle and cut more circles from white card, vellum and another Daydream patterned paper to create my layers. The background paper is soft and floaty and I think the hard angles of the photos just didn't look right to me, I was much happier once I had circles! I layered up my clusters and then got it all stuck down. I added some gold thread, some paper strips under my photo and then I trimmed down the background to 11.5" square and mounted it onto a sheet of white. This gave me a border (something I like a lot!) but also allowed me to have a little point of interest over on the right - the paper is slightly torn and a narrow strip of more Daydream paper tucked under it. My title is from the Daydream die cut titles pack. I finished off with a fabric heart, lots of sequins from the beautiful Daydream mixed embellishments and two of the paper flowers. I also added splatters of white paint. Thank you so much for joining me today, I hope you have enjoyed this layout and my process and that I have given you some inspiration to use that beautiful Sweet Serenity paper. Happy scrapping Niki xx @nikiclairecreates [ad]
