Our First Impressions of Cambodia

This market had hundreds of merchants selling everything from handbags to shoes, watches, toys and of course fresh food. After exploring the market for a while we sat down and had two delicious bowls of noodle, the perfect way to start the day. This local market is also a great place to buy your souvenirs. This is where the king of Cambodia still lives to this day and is an impressive compound with many things to see from a temple to the throne hall and 642m mural. When in Asia, make sure to visit a 7 Eleven! I know it might sound weird but those convenient stores are very different and integrated into the culture on this side of the world. Get yourself a famous 7 Eleven grilled cheese and an iced coffee. There is a new development in Phnom Penh called PH Euro Park. We are still very confused by it as it felt abandoned but at the same time to beautiful and impressive. Everything was opened but we were also told to leave so... Check it out... Maybe! Because learning about the history of a country is an important part of traveling we decided to visit the Tuol Sleng Museum. It can be heavy as this place has a terrible past but it is important to learn and understand what happen to hopefully help prevent it in the future. This is a must do in Phnom Penh.
