OUHK - Corporate Governance Conference: How to bring the Board onboard?

The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries recently held its 12th biennial Corporate Governance Conference. In the following session, two speakers have been invited to share their views on how to successfully build the board of a company. The first speaker is Nicholas Allen, Chairman and Independent Non-Executive Director of Link Asset Management Limited. He speaks about the board constituencies, the criteria of selecting board members and the board building process. The second speaker is Michael Ling, Deputy Company Secretary of CLP Holdings Limited. He delivers practical advice on facilitating the onboarding process so that newly joined directors may fully understand the company and perform their roles effectively.
