The collaboration DLC between AC7 and Top Gun: Maverick is here. Out of the 6 aircraft added to the roster, the DarkStar is the only one that is not based on a variant of a pre-existing fighter. It is also absurdly fast, with an unboosted top speed of over 5000 km/h (in a game where most planes struggle to make it past 3000 km/h), and boasts PLSL both as a Sp.W and as its main gun. The only downsides to this original plane are perhaps the slightly clumsy maneuvrability and inability to perform PSM. This is an unoptimized playthrough of Mission 11, though with a little bit more care, I could hit over 100,000 score with this setup. Keiki Kobayashi was in charge of the remixes that you can hear in multiplayer. For the the Danger Zone re-arrange, you can even hear a bit of Fire Youngman.
