The Schleissheim Palace complex is a listed building in the Bavarian community of Oberschleißheim near Munich . From 1726 to 1918 it was the summer residence of the Electors and Kings of Bavaria from the House of Wittelsbach . Over two centuries it was expanded by Duke Wilhelm V and Elector Max Emanuel by Hans Krumpper and Enrico Zuccalli in the Renaissance and Baroque styles from a small country house to a monumental one-wing complex . It consists of the Old Schleissheim Palace in the west, the New Schleissheim Palace in the center and the Lustheim Palace in the east. Together with a park, two pavilions and three canals, the palace complex forms an important architectural ensemble .
