About Born in a family of musicians, Lisa was initiated to music by her father, Late Dr. Mafiz Uddin Ahmed. Subsequently, she received training in Rabindra Sangeet from Prof. Ghulam Murshid, Mr. Waheedul Haq and Mrs. Sanjida Khatun. Ustad Amaresh Roy Chowdhury and Ustad Rabiul Hussain had been Lisa’s mentors in Hindustani Classical Vocal Music. Lisa, a Bio-Chemist and Molecular Biologist by profession, has been associated with music over decades. She is a teacher of Rabindra Sangeet at Chhayanaut, Member of Anandadhwani and a Member of the Central Committee of Jatiya Rabindrasangeet Sammelan Parishad. Lisa has several popular musical albums to her credit and has been the proud recipient of the Citycell Channel I Music Award 2007 for being the Best Singer of Rabindra Sangeet. She has also travelled for performances to India, USA, UK and Germany.
