Here's how we prepared the "Pinnekjøtt" for New Year's Eve 2021. Pinnekjøtt comes from the words "pinne" means stick and "kjøtt" means meat. Pinnekjøtt is made of salted-smoked lamb ribs. The dish called pinnekjøtt because of the method on how its cooked. The traditional way of steaming pinnekjøtt is by stacking sticks at the bottom of a big pot. And adding water, good enough that the pinnekjøtt will not get soak. And steam it for about 3-4hrs. Serve it with cooked potatoes and mashed turnip & carrots mixture.
