Crockpot French Onion Meatloaf With Melted Swiss Cheese Crockpot French Onion Meatloaf with Melted Swiss Cheese Ingredients: 2 pounds ground beef 1 cup breadcrumbs 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 cup milk 2 eggs 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 2 large onions, thinly sliced 2 tablespoons butter 1 cup beef broth 1 package French Onion soup mix 8 slices Swiss cheese (I only used 4) Directions: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the crockpot. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15 minutes. Pour the French Onion soup mix, caramelized onions and beef broth over the meatloaf in the crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until the meatloaf is fully cooked and tender. About 15 minutes before serving, top the meatloaf with Swiss cheese slices, cover, and allow the cheese to melt. Slice and serve the meatloaf with the onions and broth spooned over the top. Marie Green Beans -- I made a smaller version today Ingredients: 3 cans green beans 5 slices bacon 16 oz chicken broth 1 tbsp garlic powder 1 tbsp Soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp brown sugar 2 tbsp bacon grease Directions: Cut bacon into pieces and fry Put fried bacon on a paper tower to drain Drain the green beans and place in a sauce pan Add chicken broth, garlic powder, soy sauce, brown sugar and bacon grease to the beans Add water to cover the beans Boil the green beans for about twenty minutes Serve the green beans with bacon bits on top Serve and enjoy !!!
