About this video: After coming off my old Beta 390, the new KTM 500 delivers so much more low-end torque that I've found myself looping the bike a lot more (yes, like a newbie). Unfortunately, the stock rear fenders on these KTM 500s can't really take any kind of hit. KTM uses tiny plastic loops to hold the rear fender in place, and they break if you look at them wrong. I show you how to remove your broken stock fender and replace it with an upgraded system from Acerbis. For the most part, the Acerbis fender bolts right into place. The only modification you'll need to make is to the sub-fender which holds the license plate and brake light assembly. Fortunately, Acerbis also makes a great replacement holder. I recommend Acerbis because not only do they make great parts, but you can order directly from them on their website (unusual in the dirt bike world).
