The moment I laid eyes on Hi-Fi Rush’s candy-coated, retina-burning visuals, I knew I was in for a treat. Released without any prior marketing or anticipation, Hi-Fi Rush smacked everyone’s timeline with its tantalizing, toe-tapping trailer. The release trailer gave off a wholly unique vibe, that I could only describe as a “chaotic collage” of sights and sounds. Admittedly, the game’s trailer didn’t give a solid picture of what to expect, aside from it being a rhythmic beat-em-up with great visual appeal. The moment I saw it’d be making its way to Gamepass, I knew I had to uphold my civil duty to play and subsequently review this jam.
