Episode 3 of SOSA’s 2025 Botswana Impact Safari with our beloved SOSA travelers and special guest Rachel Recchia is all about elephants! We finish off the trip with a visit to Elephant Havens - a local nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and ultimately rewilding orphaned baby elephants. This is a long-term, carefully managed 20-year process designed to give elephants the best possible chance back in the wild. The Elephant Haven's team gives us a tour of the facilities, explains the science behind their work and introduces us to some of their superstar babes, including Quai, Misha, Zig and Joy! As always, leaving is the hardest part. By the end of a SOSA Experience, it truly feels like saying goodbye to family. Big thanks to Lessons in Conservation for bringing us into their world, showing us the beauty of African wildlife and why protecting them is critical 🌍 About SOSA SOSA is a conservation storytelling collective using film to connect people with the planet.
