Kiyoshi Kurosawa's CURE is for my money one of the best films ever made, with a unique sense of dread and terror that would become a hallmark of Kurosawa's filmography and the J-Horror boom that followed. The original theatrical trailer, by Cowboy Booking International and included as part of the original Home Video Entertainment Kurosawa releases, succinctly captures the feeling of watching CURE without giving away its many mysteries. In honor of its debut on Blu-ray as part of the Criterion Collection, I took the liberty of using the film's new 4K restoration to equally restore this trailer.
