With the unique crystal clear acrylic design, you can experience the complete immersion into your typing experience. My thoughts: This is an interesting keyboard for sure. I like the idea of a fully transparent build. However, I am not a fan of gold or yellow-type colors in general. I feel that keeping the innards to grayscale would have been a good move. But that's just my preference. It looks cool in it's own way, but just isn't a style I would have purchased for myself. I'm sure this board will likely find a home somewhere else in the future! The lighting really shines on this board (that's no surprise!). I find that the keycaps and just the board as a whole act as a big fingerprint magnet. With everything being glossy, even the driest of hands want to stick to it. I do find that it has a charming sound though. Kind of fun and poppy I'd say. I'd even describe it as "bubbly". There's a sort of muted hollowness to the sound of this build. When I press the individual keys, you can hear that they aren't uniform at all. Some keys are mushier, and produce little bottom-out sound. Honestly though, I find that lack of uniformity just another element of this board's charm. Oh, and the packaging is nicely designed, and features an owl character mascot... Oh and the box is purple (nice, although disappointingly not the board itself). In multiple aspects, the KiiBOOM Phantom 81 is unique to any of the boards I've previously owned. Like many other keyboards in this vast hobby, it definitely has it's place.
