REMARKABLE Montgomery Hydraulic Freight Elevator- Macy's- Downtown Commons- Sacramento, CA

On this day, me along with ‪@VinceTransportProductions‬ took a day trip to Sacramento, to explore around for elevators especially for this one in particular. That was pretty much our main reason as to why we decided to make this journey. In this soon to be closing Macy's Store 406 is this awesome old and original Montgomery freight elevator along with another passenger elevator that is mainly original (which will be in another video soon). This Macy's will be closing its doors for good on March 23rd, 2025. This freight elevator has these cool black buttons and the elevator itself is almost entirely original except for the gate that got replaced with Peele. This elevator is huge and isn't too loud when it travels up. The door alarms are quite noisy, though I think they were added on well after the installation of this elevator. Shoutout to ‪@Jowevator3219‬ for letting us take several rides on this thing! If you guys don't know already, he filmed a documentary about this store specifically as this Macy's holds a special place in his heart! Please give him a follow so you don't miss out on this MUST-SEE documentary of this place! Also, peep the sign that he put in the elevator lmao. In some cases, this could be considered Justin's house lmao because of the specialty of this place for him. I am grateful to have a chance to ride this elevator as there are plans to potentially demolish the place once everything has been moved out/sold.
