Within the heart of Borde Hill lies the South Park, with 110 acres of ancient woodland, tranquil lakes, and medieval grassland. This Grade II* listed parkland is a historic and ecologically rich space, home to champion trees, wildlife, and stories of the natural world which span centuries. Through our ‘Reinventing Borde Hill’ project, we are working to restore and reimagine this landscape - opening it up to new and diverse audiences in ways that are sustainable, accessible, and deeply connected to nature. The project will create spaces for wellbeing, discovery, and learning; for children to play and explore; for communities to gather; and for wildlife to thrive. With your support, this vision can be realised. Thanks to the generosity of the National Lottery Heritage Fund, our plans are beginning to take shape, but we need our community to help us bring this ambitious project to life and help us raise £1m for Borde Hill Garden Charity. To learn more or to support the project, visit https://bordehill.co.uk/reinventing-b... Filmed by Jack Hague, the film weaves together the voices of those helping to bring this vision to life. From wellbeing walks to forest schools, from wildlife conservation to outdoor learning, each voice tells part of a larger story - how nature can bring us together and how this historic place can inspire the future. Our heartfelt thanks to Penny Jenkins (NHS Social Prescribing Link Worker), David McKeown-Webster (Headteacher of Harlands Primary School), Suzanne Mark (Manager of Treehoppers Kindergarten) and Michael Blencowe (Local Naturalist & Guide) for their contributions and kindness.
