Thinning Carrots in Two Stages... You Must Do This!

Thinning carrots is a super important job in the garden! I thin my carrots in two stages... The first is when they are a couple of inches tall. I thin the carrots to 1/2 an inch apart. I use the young tops in my salad. The second thinning is a few weeks after the first one. At that point, I have baby carrots in the bed. I'll go in and thin the carrots to about one inch apart. The baby carrots are the kids' favorite thing in the world to eat. With the young tops I make carrot top pest which is delicious! That's it.
